Welcome to the Holiday Inn Hotels team! We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment. As the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and guests.   1. Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures for the hotel, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  3. Train and educate all employees on health and safety best practices and protocols.
  4. Collaborate with department managers to ensure all employees are adequately trained and equipped to handle emergency situations.
  5. Investigate and report any workplace accidents or incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Ensure all necessary safety equipment and supplies are readily available and properly maintained.
  7. Monitor and track health and safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  8. Keep up-to-date with new and emerging health and safety regulations and standards, and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as needed.
  9. Foster a culture of safety, where all employees are encouraged and empowered to prioritize safety in their daily tasks.
  10. Serve as the main point of contact for any health and safety inquiries or concerns from employees or guests.
  11. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities and incidents.
  12. Prepare and present reports on health and safety performance to management and relevant stakeholders.
  13. Collaborate with external agencies, such as OSHA, to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  14. Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in health and safety management, and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
  15. Lead and oversee emergency response procedures and drills to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field, Such As Industrial Hygiene Or Environmental Health.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Health And Safety Regulations, As Well As Industry Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Staff On Safety Protocols.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technologist (Ohst), Is Preferred.
