- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel premises to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Train and educate employees on health and safety protocols, including emergency procedures and proper use of safety equipment.
- Investigate any accidents or incidents and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related incidents, training, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Stay abreast of new developments and changes in health and safety regulations and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to minimize potential hazards.
- Ensure that necessary safety equipment and supplies are available and in good working condition.
- Communicate regularly with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and address any concerns or issues.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as health departments or fire departments, to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Investigate and respond to any guest complaints or concerns regarding health and safety.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Regularly report on the hotel's health and safety performance to management.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Occupational Health And Safety Management, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Safety Regulations And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Team Members On Safety Protocols.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technician (Ohst), Is Preferred.
