
Occupational Health and Safety Manager

- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures for all departments within the Holiday Inn Hotels.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the hotel premises to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures, including emergency procedures and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and address specific safety concerns within their areas of responsibility.
- Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses and develop recommendations for preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.
- Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal safety regulations and make necessary updates to hotel policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and provide guidance and support to department managers in implementing safety measures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local emergency response teams and agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct regular safety audits of third-party contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with HR to develop return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Coordinate and conduct safety drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
- Communicate safety updates and initiatives to all hotel employees.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any safety-related concerns or inquiries from guests and employees.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (E.g. Osha, Nebosh).
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Hotel Or Hospitality Industry.
Extensive Knowledge Of Local And Federal Occupational Health And Safety Regulations.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Staff On Safety Protocols And Procedures.
