- Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees on safety procedures and protocols, including emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any safety concerns.
- Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Stay informed on new developments and updates in occupational health and safety regulations and make necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to occupational health and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Foster a culture of safety and promote awareness among employees through training and communication.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external safety agencies and vendors.
- Communicate safety policies and procedures to guests and address any safety concerns they may have.
- Serve as the point of contact for any safety-related inquiries or issues.
- Lead and coordinate emergency response drills to ensure preparedness in case of an emergency.
- Continuously assess and improve safety processes and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for guests and employees.
A Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field: A Candidate For The Occupational Health And Safety Manager Position At Holiday Inn Hotels Should Have A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Or A Related Field. This Educational Background Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage Workplace Health And Safety Programs.
Certification In Occupational Health And Safety: The Candidate Should Possess Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technician (Ohst). These Certifications Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations, As Well As A Commitment To Ongoing Professional Development.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Holiday Inn Hotels Seeks Candidates With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Health And Safety Management Role. This Experience Should Include Developing And Implementing Safety Policies And Procedures, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Leading Safety Training Programs.
