As the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees.   1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Train and educate employees on proper safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and implement solutions.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  6. Conduct investigations and report on any accidents, injuries, or safety violations.
  7. Develop emergency preparedness plans and ensure proper training for all employees.
  8. Monitor and track safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  9. Coordinate with external agencies and conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with safety equipment vendors and suppliers.
  11. Identify and implement cost-effective safety measures.
  12. Conduct regular training and drills to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
  13. Address employee concerns and complaints related to safety and health.
  14. Develop and maintain safety records and reports.
  15. Collaborate with management to develop a safety culture throughout the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Occupational Health And Safety Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Health, Or Industrial Hygiene.

  • Professional Certification In Occupational Health And Safety: Many Employers Prefer Candidates Who Have Obtained Professional Certification In Occupational Health And Safety, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih).

  • Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Holiday Inn Hotels May Require Candidates To Have Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Such As An Occupational Health And Safety Manager Or Specialist. This Experience Should Include Managing Health And Safety Programs, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Implementing Safety Policies And Procedures.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Safety Regulations And Standards: Occupational Health And Safety Managers Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Safety Regulations And Standards. They Should Also Be Familiar With Industry-Specific Guidelines And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Manager, It Is Important For The Occupational Health And Safety Manager To Have Strong Communication And Leadership Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Safety Protocols And Procedures To All Levels Of The Organization And Lead A Team Of Safety Professionals.
