- Oversee and manage all aspects of the hotel's maintenance operations, including building, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all hotel facilities.
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and excellent customer service.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify any maintenance needs and prioritize repairs accordingly.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance projects, repairs, and upgrades to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to address any maintenance issues and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance and engineering to continuously improve hotel operations.
- Uphold all safety and security protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
- Handle any guest complaints or issues related to maintenance promptly and professionally.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for maintenance staff.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, communication, and a positive work culture.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Maintenance Manager At Holiday Inn Hotels Must Have A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Practices To Effectively Oversee The Maintenance And Repair Of The Hotel's Facilities.
Previous Experience In A Similar Role: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Maintenance Management Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team Of Maintenance Technicians And Overseeing The Maintenance And Repair Of A Large Commercial Property.
Strong Technical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Maintenance Manager Must Have A Solid Understanding Of Mechanical, Electrical, And Plumbing Systems To Troubleshoot And Resolve Maintenance Issues As They Arise. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Develop Effective Solutions To Complex Maintenance Problems.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Abilities: As A Leader Of A Maintenance Team, A Maintenance Manager Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Delegate Tasks And Provide Clear Instructions. They Must Also Possess Strong Leadership Abilities To Motivate And Manage Their Team Towards Achieving Maintenance Goals.
Knowledge Of Safety And Regulatory Standards: A Maintenance Manager Must Be Familiar With Safety Regulations And Standards To Ensure That The Hotel's Facilities Are Maintained In Compliance With Local, State, And Federal Requirements. This Includes Knowledge Of Building Codes, Fire Safety Regulations, And Environmental Laws.
