Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As an Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of events, from weddings and conferences to corporate meetings and social gatherings. We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused individual with a passion for creating memorable events.   1. Plan and coordinate a wide range of events, including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings, and social gatherings.
  2. Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
  3. Develop event concepts and themes that align with the Holiday Inn brand and meet client expectations.
  4. Create detailed event timelines and budgets to ensure all aspects of the event are well-organized and within budget.
  5. Source and negotiate with vendors, including caterers, entertainment, and decor, to provide high-quality services within budget constraints.
  6. Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue, accommodations, transportation, and audio-visual requirements.
  7. Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the event, including clients, vendors, and hotel staff, to ensure a seamless and successful event.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding promptly to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning to enhance the guest experience.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized event records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
  11. Collaborate with the hotel sales team to promote and sell event services to potential clients.
  12. Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to events.
  13. Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and handle any issues that arise during events in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Assist with post-event evaluation and feedback to continuously improve event planning and execution.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the event planning team and across departments.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Event Planning And Coordination, Preferably In A Hotel Setting

  • Knowledge Of Event Technology And Software, Such As Eventbrite Or Cvent, Is A Plus.
