- Plan and coordinate a wide range of events, including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings, and social gatherings.
- Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Develop event concepts and themes that align with the Holiday Inn brand and meet client expectations.
- Create detailed event timelines and budgets to ensure all aspects of the event are well-organized and within budget.
- Source and negotiate with vendors, including caterers, entertainment, and decor, to provide high-quality services within budget constraints.
- Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue, accommodations, transportation, and audio-visual requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the event, including clients, vendors, and hotel staff, to ensure a seamless and successful event.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding promptly to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain accurate and organized event records, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with the hotel sales team to promote and sell event services to potential clients.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to events.
- Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and handle any issues that arise during events in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with post-event evaluation and feedback to continuously improve event planning and execution.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the event planning team and across departments.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Event Planning And Coordination, Preferably In A Hotel Setting
Knowledge Of Event Technology And Software, Such As Eventbrite Or Cvent, Is A Plus.
