- Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive catering and events business at the hotel.
- Oversee the entire catering and events department, including hiring, training, and managing staff.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure successful events and repeat business.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and food and beverage, to create seamless and exceptional event experiences for guests.
- Manage event budgets and ensure profitability by negotiating contracts and controlling expenses.
- Monitor market trends and competition to make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to the catering and events services.
- Create and maintain event and catering packages, menus, and pricing to meet the needs and preferences of various clients.
- Ensure all events and catering services adhere to hotel and industry standards, policies, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain an efficient and organized system for event planning and execution, including timelines, contracts, and event details.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and catering services to potential clients and increase brand awareness.
- Handle and resolve any guest complaints or issues related to catering and events in a timely and professional manner.
- Continuously train and develop catering and events staff to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards.
- Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations with catering and events team to ensure goals are met and provide feedback for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new event technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the hotel's catering and events offerings.
- Uphold the hotel's reputation and brand image through exceptional service and professionalism.
Extensive Experience In Catering And Events Management: A Director Of Catering And Events At Holiday Inn Hotels Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Planning And Executing Large-Scale Events And Managing Catering Operations.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Event Planners And Catering Staff. They Should Be Able To Delegate Tasks Effectively, Set Goals, And Provide Guidance And Support To Their Team.
