We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record in catering and event management. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is also required.   1. Oversee all aspects of catering and event operations at Holiday Inn Hotels.
  2. Develop and execute event strategies to increase revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.
  3. Manage a team of catering and event staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  4. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all guests.
  5. Maintain and build relationships with clients and vendors to ensure successful events.
  6. Create and manage budgets for catering and events.
  7. Monitor and analyze event performance and make adjustments as needed.
  8. Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
  9. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote and sell catering and event services.
  10. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  11. Plan and execute special events and promotions at the hotel.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and competition to identify opportunities for improvement.
  13. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  14. Provide leadership and mentorship to the catering and event team.
  15. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
  16. Handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  17. Conduct regular training and development sessions for the catering and event team.
  18. Collaborate with the hotel's executive team to develop and achieve business goals.
  19. Ensure all events are executed within budget and achieve desired profitability.
  20. Represent Holiday Inn Hotels at industry events and networking opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Catering And Event Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Catering And Event Management, Preferably In A Hotel Setting. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Industry, Market Trends, And Customer Needs.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: The Director Of Catering And Events Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Staff Members And Ensuring The Smooth Execution Of All Catering And Event Operations. Therefore, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Leadership, Communication, And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Proven Track Record Of Sales And Revenue Generation: This Role Requires The Candidate To Drive Sales And Revenue For The Hotel's Catering And Event Services. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Successful Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets.

  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: As The Face Of The Hotel, The Director Of Catering And Events Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships With Clients. They Should Be Able To Anticipate And Fulfill Customer Needs To Ensure A Positive Experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management Or A Related Field: A Bachelor's Degree In Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field Is Preferred For This Role. It Will Provide The Candidate With A Strong Foundation In The Hospitality Industry And Relevant Skills To Excel In The Position.
