- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times.
- Train, coach, and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure they are delivering high-quality service and following established procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's cleanliness standards and address any issues promptly.
- Monitor and control housekeeping expenses, including labor and supplies, to ensure budget goals are met.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations, including coordinating with front desk to prioritize room cleaning and maintenance needs.
- Maintain inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure the housekeeping team has the necessary tools to perform their duties.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping and take appropriate action to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Keep updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the housekeeping department's operations and service delivery.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures, such as regular room inspections and guest feedback, to ensure high standards are consistently met.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the housekeeping team, including recognizing and rewarding their contributions and addressing any performance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and hotel policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager in creating and updating standard operating procedures to promote efficiency and consistency in housekeeping operations.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to ensure all team members are updated on hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations, for the housekeeping department.
Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Housekeeping Operations And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage A Team.
Ability To Multitask, Prioritize And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software Used In The Hotel Industry.
