- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction are maintained.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back of house spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints and requests, taking appropriate action to resolve any issues.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience.
- Create and implement schedules for housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures, and ensure housekeeping staff do the same.
- Conduct performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the housekeeping department, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in housekeeping, and implement them as appropriate.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and maintaining records, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and positive attitude in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
Prior Experience In Housekeeping Management, Preferably In A Hotel Or Hospitality Setting.
Strong Leadership And Managerial Skills, With The Ability To Oversee And Motivate A Team Of Housekeeping Staff.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, To Effectively Interact With Guests And Handle Any Issues Or Complaints.
Knowledge Of Housekeeping Procedures, Including Cleaning Standards, Inventory Management, And Scheduling.
Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills, To Ensure That Rooms And Public Areas Are Clean And Well-Maintained According To Hotel Standards.
