
Accountant & Goods Receiver

- Oversee all financial transactions for the hotel, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial data.
- Manage inventory and receiving processes for all goods and supplies, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms for the hotel.
- Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and loss.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and inventory management policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on financial and inventory status.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for the hotel.
- Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the accounting and inventory management processes.
- Train and mentor other team members on accounting and inventory management procedures as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting and inventory management practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial and inventory data.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Is Essential For An Accountant & Goods Receiver At Holiday Inn Hotels. A Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or A Related Field Will Provide A Solid Foundation In Financial Principles And Practices.
Experience In Both Accounting And Inventory Management: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Is Proficient In Both Accounting And Inventory Management. An Ideal Candidate Would Have Experience In Both Areas, Ensuring They Can Effectively Manage Both Financial And Supply Chain Aspects Of The Job.
Strong Attention To Detail: The Accountant & Goods Receiver Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Accurately Track And Record Financial Transactions And Inventory. Small Errors In Accounting Or Inventory Management Can Have Significant Impacts On The Hotel's Overall Financial Performance.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Various Departments Within The Hotel, As Well As External Vendors And Suppliers. Strong Communication And Organizational Skills Are Crucial To Effectively Manage These Relationships And Ensure A Smooth Flow Of Goods And Finances.
Knowledge Of Hotel Industry And Systems: Holiday Inn Hotels May Prefer A Candidate With Prior Experience In The Hospitality Industry And Familiarity With Hotel-Specific Financial And Inventory Management Systems.
