As the General Manager of our transportation fleet, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of our products across the country. We are seeking someone with a strong background in fleet management and a passion for strategic thinking and problem-solving.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including drivers, vehicles, and routes.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the transportation fleet.
  3. Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  4. Manage and maintain the fleet budget, including expenses for fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
  5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise transportation fleet staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and communication among all team members.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
  9. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the fleet to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
  10. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve transportation operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  11. Create and maintain documentation and records related to fleet operations, including maintenance logs, driver records, and vehicle inspections.
  12. Keep abreast of industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements or changes to fleet operations.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and inventory, to ensure seamless integration of transportation services with overall business operations.
  14. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in the transportation industry, and make recommendations for the adoption of new systems or processes.
  15. Uphold and promote company values and culture, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
