Welcome to the Hobby Lobby team! We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Injury Examiner to join our talented and dedicated Human Resources department. As an Occupational Injury Examiner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees by effectively managing and preventing workplace injuries. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.   1. Conduct thorough investigations of workplace injuries and accidents to determine their cause and prevent similar incidents in the future.
  2. Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure timely and accurate reporting to insurance providers.
  3. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent workplace injuries and promote a safe work environment.
  4. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  5. Serve as a resource for employees and managers on workers' compensation policies and procedures.
  6. Review and analyze injury data to identify trends and develop strategies for injury prevention.
  7. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims.
  9. Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance carriers to ensure proper treatment and management of injured employees.
  10. Keep up-to-date with changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  11. Provide support and assistance to employees during the workers' compensation process.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization on matters related to workplace injuries and safety.
  13. Conduct training sessions for employees and managers on injury prevention and safety protocols.
  14. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of injury prevention initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement return-to-work programs for employees recovering from workplace injuries.

Job Qualifications
  • Degree In Occupational Health And Safety: A Minimum Of Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position.

  • Certification In Workers' Compensation: Certification In Workers' Compensation Or Related Field Is Preferred To Demonstrate Knowledge And Understanding Of Workers' Compensation Claims Processes.

  • Experience In Occupational Injury Management: Previous Experience In Managing Occupational Injury Cases, Including Conducting Investigations, Documenting Findings, And Making Recommendations For Prevention Is Required.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Injured Employees, Medical Professionals, And Management Is Essential For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Osha Regulations: A Thorough Understanding Of Osha Regulations And Compliance Requirements Is Necessary To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Employees And To Avoid Potential Legal Issues For The Company.
