Job Description

Hoag Hospital is seeking a dynamic Telemetry (Monitor) Technician / Clerical Coordinator to join our Nursing Staffing Office team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient monitoring of patients' vital signs.   1. Monitor and record patients' vital signs accurately and promptly.
  2. Ensure proper functioning of all telemetry equipment and promptly report any malfunctions.
  3. Collaborate with nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  4. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Keep accurate records of patient data and telemetry readings.
  8. Report any abnormalities or changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  9. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments and procedures.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with patients and their families.
  11. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  13. Attend training and education sessions to stay updated on the latest healthcare technology and procedures.
  14. Perform clerical duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
  15. Act as a resource and provide guidance to other staff members as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Telemetry Technician/Clerical Coordinator Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Order To Accurately Document Patient Information And Communicate With Medical Staff.

  • Experience With Telemetry Equipment: This Position Requires Experience And Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Telemetry Equipment, As Well As The Ability To Interpret And Analyze Telemetry Data.

  • Organizational Skills: As A Clerical Coordinator, This Role Requires Strong Organizational Skills To Manage The Scheduling And Staffing Of Nursing Personnel, As Well As Maintaining Accurate Records And Documentation.

  • Attention To Detail: In Order To Accurately Monitor And Report On Patient Telemetry Data, A Telemetry Technician Must Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Catch Any Abnormalities Or Changes In The Data.

  • Communication Skills: This Position Involves Working Closely With Nursing Staff And Other Medical Professionals, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Coordinate And Communicate Staffing Needs And Patient Information.
