Job Description

At HOAG, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Care Assistant - Telemetry with a commitment to providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate for this position will have a caring and patient mindset and the ability to provide the highest level of comfort and support to our patients. The Patient Care Assistant - Telemetry will perform patient care duties, such as changing bed linens, helping patients bathe, and providing assistance to medical staff. We are seeking a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is organized and detail-oriented. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a telemetry unit, and have a valid CNA license.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist medical staff with patient care needs, including changing bed linens, helping patients bathe, and providing comfort and support.
  2. Support the telemetry unit by performing daily tasks such as charting, collecting data, and recording vital signs.
  3. Greet patients and families upon arrival, explain procedures and answer any questions.
  4. Maintain patient dignity and respect at all times.
  5. Provide compassionate care for patients and their families.
  6. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  7. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Follow all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  10. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
