
Inventory Specialist-Medical
Manages the acquisition, storage, flow and tracking of all products. Engages in procuring, tracking, maintaining and safeguarding operating room (OR) supplies. Collaborates with customers and supply chain staff to identify optimal sources for all OR related products. Establishes, maintains, and reviews Hospital par location inventory levels. Oversees cycle count activities. Manages product recalls. Develops and facilitates appropriate dialogue with clinical staff regarding inventory management practices. Provides timely communications with Peri-op Management regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause, and resolution of inventory variances. Works with Accounts Payable to address invoice discrepancy. Provide inventory management, ordering in a timely manner, and restocking of supplies. Proactively identify supply/equipment needs. Gather the supplies needed for a specific case and may assist with sterilization processes.
More than 2 years of inventory management experience in a hospital environment
Able to oversees inventory management for an entire OR such as Newport Surgery Center or HHI
Knowledgeable of supplies, instrumentation, disaffection techniques is expected.
