As the Director of Gift Planning, you will play a crucial role in securing charitable donations and planned gifts to support our organization's future growth and success. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for philanthropy and a strong understanding of estate planning and charitable giving.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive gift planning program to secure major gifts and planned gifts for HOAG.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential donors to increase support for the organization.
  3. Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize potential donors for gift planning initiatives.
  4. Provide guidance and support to donors and their advisors on estate planning and charitable giving options.
  5. Work closely with legal and financial advisors to ensure the proper documentation and administration of planned gifts.
  6. Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, including conducting prospect research and creating personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  7. Monitor and track progress towards gift planning goals and report regularly to senior leadership.
  8. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create materials and messaging to promote gift planning opportunities.
  9. Represent the organization at community events and conferences to raise awareness and promote the gift planning program.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to gift planning and share knowledge with the development team.
  11. Serve as a liaison between donors and other departments within the organization to ensure proper stewardship and recognition of gifts.
  12. Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on planned giving strategies and techniques.
  13. Adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
  14. Serve as a positive and professional representative of HOAG in all interactions with donors, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Gift Planning, Fundraising, Or Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Estate Planning, Tax Laws, And Charitable Giving Vehicles.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors And Colleagues.

  • Demonstrated Success In Developing And Implementing Gift Planning Strategies And Programs.
