- Conduct cardiovascular interventional radiology procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized radiology equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as needed during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or complications during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient.
- Accurately document all procedures, patient information, and any adverse reactions in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Provide education and instructions to patients before and after procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Continuously stay updated with advancements and best practices in cardiovascular interventional radiology to provide the highest quality of care.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism towards patients and their families at all times.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy.

Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field Is Required. Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist (Rcvt) Through The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Is Also Required.
Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Is Preferred. Experience With A Variety Of Procedures Such As Angioplasty, Stent Placement, And Cardiac Catheterization Is Highly Desired.
Technical Skills: Strong Technical Skills In Operating And Troubleshooting Complex Imaging Equipment, Such As Digital Subtraction Angiography (Dsa) And Intravascular Ultrasound (Ivus), Are Required. Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques And Radiation Safety Protocols Is Also Necessary.
Critical Thinking And Problem Solving: The Ability To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In High-Pressure Situations Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Be Able To Analyze Images And Make Appropriate Adjustments To Ensure Accurate Diagnosis And Treatment.
Communication And Teamwork: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For Collaborating With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment. The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Adapt To Different Personalities And Working Styles Is Also Important For Success In This Role.
