Job Description

At Hines, our Associate - Land Development is a critical role in our development team. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for real estate development and is knowledgeable about the land development process. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Land Development, or a related field and at least three years of experience in land development or a related field. The successful candidate must be a creative problem solver with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. We are seeking an individual who is an effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact on our development team while working in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage land development projects from initial concept to completion.
  2. Research and analyze data to identify potential land development opportunities.
  3. Formulate plans to maximize land value and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  4. Prepare project budgets, schedules, and design documents.
  5. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local government and other necessary stakeholders.
  6. Develop relationships with external stakeholders including government entities, lenders, contractors, and other potential partners.
  7. Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors, architects, and other consultants.
  8. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  9. Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of land development processes and applicable laws.
  10. Report regularly on progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
