Job Description

Welcome to Hilton Hotels! We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Receiving Clerk. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of all hotel shipments. This is a vital role in our organization as you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that they are properly received and distributed throughout the hotel. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses excellent communication skills.   1. Receive and inspect all incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and condition of goods.
  2. Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  3. Record all received goods in the hotel's inventory system and ensure proper distribution to the appropriate departments.
  4. Communicate with suppliers, hotel staff, and management regarding any issues or delays with shipments.
  5. Maintain organized and accurate records of all received goods, including invoices, packing slips, and tracking information.
  6. Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain proper inventory levels.
  7. Conduct regular physical inventories and assist with inventory control procedures.
  8. Adhere to all safety and security standards while handling and storing goods.
  9. Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel staff and external vendors.
  11. Train and supervise new receiving staff members as needed.
  12. Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure proper distribution of goods and resolve any issues or concerns.
  13. Remain up-to-date on all hotel policies and procedures related to receiving and inventory management.
  14. Report any damaged or defective goods to the appropriate departments and follow up on resolutions.
  15. Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by the management team.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Hotel Or Hospitality Setting
