
Receiving Clerk

As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of all hotel shipments. This is a vital role in our organization as you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that they are properly received and distributed throughout the hotel. - Receive and inspect all incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and condition of goods.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
- Record all received goods in the hotel's inventory system and ensure proper distribution to the appropriate departments.
- Communicate with suppliers, hotel staff, and management regarding any issues or delays with shipments.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all received goods, including invoices, packing slips, and tracking information.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Conduct regular physical inventories and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and security standards while handling and storing goods.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel staff and external vendors.
- Train and supervise new receiving staff members as needed.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure proper distribution of goods and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Remain up-to-date on all hotel policies and procedures related to receiving and inventory management.
- Report any damaged or defective goods to the appropriate departments and follow up on resolutions.
- Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by the management team.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Previous Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Hotel Or Hospitality Setting
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills
Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Items, And Stand For Long Periods Of Time
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Basic Math Skills For Inventory Tracking And Data Entry
