- Oversee and manage all aspects of banquet operations, including event planning, set-up, execution, and clean-up.
- Ensure the highest level of service and customer satisfaction by maintaining Hilton's high standards and expectations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure successful events and repeat business.
- Create and implement strategies to increase banquet revenue and profitability.
- Hire, train, and supervise banquet staff, providing ongoing coaching and development to ensure a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and food and beverage, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events.
- Develop and maintain banquet budgets, monitor expenses, and make adjustments as needed to ensure financial targets are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in order to continuously improve banquet operations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Act as a role model and mentor for all banquet staff, promoting a positive and professional work environment.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns in a timely and efficient manner, striving to exceed expectations and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
- Represent Hilton Hotels in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Extensive Experience In Banquet Operations: A Director Of Banquets At Hilton Hotels Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Planning And Executing Large-Scale Banquets And Events. This Includes Experience In Managing Banquet Staff, Coordinating With Event Planners, And Ensuring The Smooth Execution Of Events.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As The Head Of The Banquet Department, The Director Of Banquets Must Possess Excellent Leadership And Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Motivate And Train Staff, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Handle Any Issues That May Arise During Events.
Attention To Detail: Banquets At Hilton Hotels Are Known For Their Impeccable Service And Attention To Detail. The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Ensure That Even The Smallest Aspects Of An Event Are Executed Flawlessly.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Director Of Banquets Will Be Responsible For Working Closely With Clients, Event Planners, And Other Hotel Departments. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Finesse.
Knowledge Of Banquet Industry Trends And Best Practices: The Banquet Industry Is Constantly Evolving, And It Is Important For The Director Of Banquets To Stay Updated On The Latest Trends And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Menu Planning, Event Design, And Technology Used In Banquet Operations.
