Director & Counsel Development Americas

1. Develop and implement legal and compliance strategies for development activities in the Americas region, including negotiating and drafting contracts and agreements.
2. Collaborate with business and development leaders to ensure legal and compliance considerations are integrated into all development decisions and processes.
3. Provide legal guidance and support to the development team, including reviewing and advising on development projects, partnerships, and other business initiatives.
4. Monitor and stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact development activities in the Americas region.
5. Manage and oversee outside counsel relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective legal services.
6. Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals to support the development function and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
7. Conduct internal trainings and workshops to educate team members on legal and compliance matters related to development activities.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, external partners, and government agencies.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters related to development activities in the Americas region.
10. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support the overall growth and success of the organization.
11. Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations related to development activities.
12. Ensure all development activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
13. Continuously assess and improve legal processes and procedures related to development activities.
14. Stay informed of industry best practices and make recommendations for improvements to legal and compliance strategies.
15. Uphold the values and standards of Hilton Hotels and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
