We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Unit Secretary. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the daily operations of our unit, ensuring efficient and effective communication and coordination among healthcare professionals.   1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, including admission and discharge paperwork, progress notes, and lab results.
  2. Coordinate and schedule appointments, tests, and procedures for patients in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit.
  3. Answer phone calls and politely greet and assist visitors and patients, directing them to the appropriate staff or resources.
  4. Manage and organize patient charts and medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to relay important information and updates.
  6. Monitor and order office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper functioning.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  8. Collaborate with other unit secretaries and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
  9. Follow established protocols and procedures for maintaining a clean and organized unit environment.
  10. Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay updated on unit policies and procedures.
  11. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any concerns or needs.
  12. Demonstrate a positive and welcoming attitude towards all individuals in the unit, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Unit Secretary In A Hospital Setting
