Job Description

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a passion for patient care, an eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence. To be successful in this role, you must possess the necessary qualifications and skills to provide high-quality care and services to our patients.The ideal candidate for this role must have an Associate's Degree in Ultrasound Technology, or equivalent experience, as well as certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). In addition, you must have a minimum of one year of experience in the field of Ultrasound Technology, and be able to demonstrate knowledge of ultrasound procedures and equipment. A valid driver's license is also required.We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine and advanced ultrasounds according to established protocols.
  2. Accurately document patient care and medical information in the patient’s medical record.
  3. Provide high-quality patient care and services to patients and their families.
  4. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  5. Prepare and position patients for ultrasounds, explain the procedures, and answer any questions.
  6. Review images and reports with physicians to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  7. Maintain accurate records of exams and images.
  8. Adhere to all policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the ultrasound department.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  10. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
