- Support the Community Affairs team in planning and executing community events and initiatives in Central Pennsylvania.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement community engagement strategies.
- Conduct research and gather data to support the development of community outreach programs.
- Help coordinate volunteer efforts and engage employees in community service opportunities.
- Create and maintain databases and records to track community involvement and impact.
- Represent Highmark Health at community events and serve as a brand ambassador.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials and communications to promote community events and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the Community Affairs team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining records.
- Attend meetings and trainings to learn about the healthcare industry and how it intersects with community affairs.
- Act as a liaison between Highmark Health and community partners, responding to inquiries and providing support as needed.
- Contribute to the development of new community initiatives and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of current programs.
- Adhere to and promote Highmark Health's mission, values, and ethical standards in all interactions with the community and colleagues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow, both personally and professionally, throughout the duration of the internship.

Must Be Enrolled In An Undergraduate Program At An Accredited University, With A Major In Community Affairs, Public Relations, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Audiences.
Demonstrated Interest In Community Outreach And Engagement, With Experience Volunteering Or Working With Community Organizations.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Social Media Platforms, With The Ability To Create Engaging Content For Various Platforms.
