  1. Provide quality pharmaceutical care to patients by accurately dispensing medications and ensuring their safe and effective use.
  2. Serve as a clinical resource for healthcare providers and patients, providing expert knowledge on medications, drug interactions, and dosage recommendations.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current medications, and overall health goals.
  4. Conduct medication therapy management and review to identify any potential drug therapy problems and make appropriate recommendations.
  5. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  6. Train and mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication profiles, allergies, and any drug interactions.
  8. Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize pharmacy operations.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure the best possible patient care.
  11. Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve pharmacy processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
  13. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  14. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all members of the healthcare team.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Highmark Health, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution.

  • Active State Pharmacist License With No Restrictions.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Licensed Pharmacist, Preferably In A Clinical Or Managed Care Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards.

  • Proven Leadership Skills, With Experience Managing And Mentoring A Team Of Pharmacists And Pharmacy Technicians.
