Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our employees and leaders on a variety of employee relations matters. As a trusted advisor, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. To excel in this position, you must have a deep understanding of employment laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships.   1. Provide expert guidance and support to employees and leaders on a wide range of employee relations matters.
  2. Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  3. Utilize a deep understanding of employment laws to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  4. Proactively identify and address potential employee relations issues, working to find solutions that benefit both employees and the organization.
  5. Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns, ensuring a fair and thorough process.
  6. Collaborate with HR colleagues and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in employee relations, recommending improvements and updates as needed.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and leaders, serving as a resource and point of contact for employee relations matters.
  9. Provide training and coaching to managers and supervisors on effective employee relations practices.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations activities and investigations.
  11. Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  12. Continuously assess and improve employee relations processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Communicate and collaborate with legal counsel as needed to address complex employee relations matters.
  14. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  15. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to employee relations as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Employee Relations, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Large Corporate Environment

  • Expert Knowledge Of Federal And State Labor Laws, Eeoc Regulations, And Hr Best Practices

  • Strong Conflict Resolution, Mediation, And Problem-Solving Skills

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With All Levels Of Employees And Management
