Job Description

Highmark Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical & Population Health Analyst to join our team. This position will be responsible for driving meaningful insights into clinical and population health data to help drive data-driven decisions that improve patient outcomes, and ultimately, reduce health care costs. The ideal candidate should have a track record of success in data-driven healthcare analytics and a passion for utilizing data to drive positive change. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Statistics• Five or more years of experience in healthcare analytics, data analysis, or a related field• Thorough understanding of healthcare data sources, including claims, clinical, and population health• Experience in developing and using data-driven models for healthcare decision-making• Strong quantitative analysis skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or SQL• Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze clinical and population health data to identify trends and correlations that can help inform strategic and tactical healthcare decisions.
  2. Develop and maintain data-driven models for healthcare decision-making.
  3. Utilize advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or SQL to analyze healthcare data sources.
  4. Design and execute data analysis projects to drive meaningful insights into patient outcomes and healthcare costs.
  5. Present data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Develop reports and dashboards to help track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Create and maintain documentation for data analysis processes and results.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  9. Stay up-to-date on healthcare industry trends and best practices.
  10. Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
