RN Labor & Delivery

Highmark Health is looking to hire a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery team. Our Labor & Delivery unit provides care to women throughout their pregnancies, through labor and delivery, and post-delivery. We are looking for a professional to provide high quality care to our patients and support to our team.The ideal candidate will have previous RN experience, preferably in Labor & Delivery and NICU, and demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent patient care. They should demonstrate empathy, excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with the team, and maintain a positive attitude. Additionally, a current RN license and BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high quality care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.
2. Monitor patient health and progress throughout their pregnancy, delivery, and post-delivery.
3. Demonstrate empathy, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude when interacting with patients and their families.
4. Work collaboratively with the Labor & Delivery team to provide the best patient care possible.
5. Maintain current RN license and BLS certification.
6. Administer medications and treatments according to doctor's orders.
7. Collect and document patient health information.
8. Educate patients and families on proper post-delivery care and health maintenance.
9. Monitor vital signs and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
10. Assess patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
