Job Description

Highmark Health is seeking an experienced Pulmonary Function Therapist to join our team and help provide quality patient care. This role requires a motivated, organized, and compassionate individual who is driven to make a difference in the lives of our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, have a minimum of two years of experience as a Pulmonary Function Therapist, and be certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The successful candidate will be proficient in operating and interpreting data from pulmonary function equipment, and have the ability to organize and document patient care appropriately. Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills are necessary for this role, as is the capacity to work collaboratively and independently. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a dedication to upholding the standards of our organization are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure quality patient care by operating and interpreting data from pulmonary function equipment.
  2. Organize and document patient care activities appropriately.
  3. Communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
  4. Provide assessment and critical thinking skills to identify and address patient needs.
  5. Utilize excellent organizational skills to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  6. Uphold the standards of our organization and maintain a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  7. Work collaboratively and independently to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  8. Keep up to date on current trends and best practices in the field.
