- Provide expert guidance and support to colleagues and healthcare professionals regarding cancer genetics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders in the field of cancer genetics.
- Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for other physicians and healthcare professionals on the team.
- Develop and implement protocols and processes for identifying and managing patients who may benefit from cancer genetics testing.
- Participate in clinical trials and research studies related to cancer genetics.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cancer genetics research and patient care.
- Oversee the quality and safety of cancer genetics services provided by the organization.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and research activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to cancer genetics.
- Continuously assess and improve the cancer genetics program to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Represent Highmark Health at conferences, seminars, and other events related to cancer genetics.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding genetic testing, risk assessment, and management.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure coverage for cancer genetics services.
- Develop and deliver educational programs and materials for patients, families, and healthcare professionals on cancer genetics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the cancer genetics program.

Medical Degree From An Accredited University: The Candidate Must Possess A Medical Degree From A Reputable University, With A Focus On Genetics And Oncology.
Board Certification In Medical Genetics Or Oncology: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Medical Genetics And/Or Oncology To Demonstrate Their Expertise In The Field.
Experience In Clinical Cancer Genetics: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Clinical Cancer Genetics, Preferably In A Leadership Or Director Role.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leadership And Management Skills, As They Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Physicians And Genetic Counselors.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Work With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients From Diverse Backgrounds.
