Job Description

As a Physician Assistant Critical Care at Highmark Health, you will join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You will need to possess the necessary knowledge and skills to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver excellent care to critical care patients.The successful candidate for this role will have completed an accredited physician assistant program and hold a valid license to practice as a physician assistant. You must also have at least one year of experience in critical care and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).We are looking for a Physician Assistant Critical Care who is passionate about providing outstanding care to our patients and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, quality care. You must be a team player and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills so that you can work effectively with our healthcare team and our patients. You must also be able to stay organized and prioritize tasks as needed to ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently.

Responsibilities: -Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment -Assess, diagnose, and treat critical care patients -Identify and manage medical conditions and offer appropriate treatments -Evaluate and document patient progress -Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care -Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues -Maintain accurate and timely patient records -Stay current on developments in the medical field and utilize new technologies to improve patient care -Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines -Maintain valid license to practice as a physician assistant -Maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
