Highmark Health is looking for an experienced, dedicated Medical Technologist, Microbiology to join our team and help provide the highest quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field• Must be licensed as a Medical Technologist in the state of Pennsylvania• At least two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of clinical laboratory testing• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills• Ability to work independently or in a collaborative settingIf you have the qualifications and experience we seek and are ready to make a positive impact on patient care, we invite you to apply for the position of Medical Technologist, Microbiology at Highmark Health.

Responsibilities: • Perform laboratory tests in the microbiology field to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases • Ensure accuracy and precision of laboratory tests • Adhere to safety and quality control standards • Review, interpret, and document test results • Maintain accurate records of laboratory tests • Assist with developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures • Monitor laboratory supplies and reagents • Train and supervise laboratory personnel • Provide technical support to other medical staff • Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure accurate laboratory results • Develop and implement laboratory information systems
