- Collect, process, and maintain sensitive medical information.
- Review and analyze medical records for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to accurately document patient information.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient records.
- Utilize electronic health record systems and other software to manage medical records.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in medical records.
- Assist with audits and quality assurance processes related to medical records.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to medical records management.
- Train and educate other staff members on proper medical records procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely record keeping.
- Adhere to strict timelines and deadlines for processing and maintaining medical records.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and policies related to medical records.
- Continuously strive for accuracy, efficiency, and improvement in all aspects of medical records management.
Minimum Of Associate's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.
Certified As A Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) By The American Health Information Management Association (Ahima).
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Disease Processes.
Proficiency In Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Software And Other Computer Systems Used For Medical Record Management.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage Large Volumes Of Data Accurately And Efficiently.
