Job Description

Highmark Health is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Manager Patient Safety to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing patient safety initiatives and practices in our healthcare facilities. The Manager Patient Safety will use their knowledge of patient safety and quality improvement to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care.The ideal candidate for this position should possess exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to excellence. They should have a Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting. The Manager Patient Safety should have a proven track record of success in improving patient safety and quality initiatives, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage patient safety initiatives and practices in healthcare facilities
  2. Utilize knowledge of patient safety and quality improvement to ensure patients receive the highest level of care
  3. Provide problem-solving solutions to improve patient safety and quality initiatives
  4. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure initiatives are successful
  5. Analyze data to identify potential areas of improvement
  6. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient safety and quality initiatives
  7. Monitor performance and compliance with patient safety and quality standards
  8. Prepare reports and presentations to share progress and results with stakeholders
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of patient safety and quality initiatives
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure effective patient safety and quality initiatives
