We at Highmark Health are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious Laboratory Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical laboratory services and ensuring timely and accurate results. As a Laboratory Processor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our organization and have a direct impact on the lives of our patients.To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, and have a thorough knowledge of laboratory techniques and protocols. A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field is preferred, but not required. Additionally, you must have at least one year of experience working in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of laboratory results
  • Preparing samples and specimens for laboratory testing
  • Utilizing laboratory techniques and protocols
  • Operating laboratory equipment
  • Recording and reporting test results
  • Maintaining a safe and clean laboratory environment
  • Performing preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
  • Adhering to safety regulations and quality assurance standards
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
