
Labor Relations Consultant
Highmark Health is a growing, dynamic organization that is looking for a talented Labor Relations Consultant to join our team. This person will be a critical part of our HR team, working collaboratively to ensure compliance with labor regulations while maintaining a productive, positive relationship with our unionized employees. The Labor Relations Consultant will be a strategic thinker, results-driven and team-oriented, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field. You should also possess a minimum of five years of experience in labor relations and possess a thorough understanding of labor laws and regulations. You should also demonstrate a strong understanding of collective bargaining and have strong negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders are essential for this role. Responsibilities of a Labor Relations Consultant:
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with labor regulations and collective bargaining agreements.
- Develop strategies and tactics to maintain a productive, positive relationship with unionized employees.
- Negotiate labor contracts and collective bargaining agreements.
- Remain up-to-date on labor laws and regulations.
- Monitor and analyze labor costs and labor trends.
- Develop and implement labor relations policies, procedures, and processes.
- Act as a liaison between management and union representatives.
- Provide guidance and support to management in labor relations issues.
- Resolve labor disputes and grievances.
- Prepare and present labor relations reports to senior managers.
