  1. Perform histological procedures on tissue samples with precision and attention to detail.
  2. Prepare and stain tissue samples for microscopic examination.
  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all procedures and results.
  5. Communicate effectively with medical staff and pathologists to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements in histological techniques and equipment.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  9. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  10. Mentor and train junior histotechnologists.
  11. Follow all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with established standards.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Histotechnology Or A Related Field

  • Current Certification As A Histotechnician (Ht) Or Histotechnologist (Htl) Through The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Histology Laboratory Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Standard Operating Procedures (Sops)

  • Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
