  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing and replacing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and completing preventive maintenance checks.
  2. Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  3. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  5. Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure the smooth operation of all facilities.
  6. Utilize various tools and equipment to complete maintenance tasks, such as power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  7. Stay current on industry best practices and techniques related to general maintenance.
  8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to keep them informed of maintenance activities.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to all patients, employees, and visitors by being responsive and professional.
  10. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
  11. Adhere to all organization policies and procedures, including those related to safety and infection control.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A General Maintenance Mechanic Position At Highmark Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Understand And Perform The Job Duties Effectively.

  • Experience In General Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In General Maintenance, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Perform Specialized Maintenance Tasks.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Good Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures, Especially In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Proper Handling And Disposal Of Hazardous Materials, And The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Safety Hazards.
