Job Description

Highmark Health is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Acceleration Associate. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and be able to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.To be successful in this position, the successful candidate should have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. They should also have experience with financial accounting and budgeting processes, as well as experience in data analysis and financial modeling. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and a broad knowledge of financial systems. The successful candidate must also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare financial statements, budgets, and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  2. Analyze financial data and create financial models to help inform business decisions.
  3. Monitor and review financial performance of operations in order to identify areas of improvement.
  4. Identify and assess potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigating such risks.
  5. Maintain financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  6. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.
  8. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  9. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
