At Highmark Health, we are seeking an enthusiastic Endoscopy Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to help provide a high level of patient care while working with a dedicated medical team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in endoscopy and be passionate about working with patients to deliver the best care possible. They should be highly organized, have exceptional communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for performing endoscopy procedures, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring the highest level of quality care is provided. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field, have at least one year of experience working as an Endoscopy Technician, and be certified in Basic Life Support. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, then this position is for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform endoscopy procedures according to medical protocols and safety regulations.
  2. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient privacy.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure the highest level of sterilization.
  4. Monitor patient condition throughout procedure and provide support to patient during procedure.
  5. Assist doctors and other medical staff in patient care and preparation for endoscopy procedures.
  6. Administer medications as necessary and provide post-procedure care to patients.
  7. Assist in ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment.
  8. Provide education and information to patients and their families regarding endoscopy procedures.
  9. Follow all safety and quality control protocols.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training activities as needed.
