
Endoscopy Technician

- Perform endoscopic procedures: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for setting up and maintaining endoscopic equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during the process.
- Prepare and maintain equipment: It will be the responsibility of the Endoscopy Technician to properly clean and sanitize all equipment before and after use, as well as ensure that all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Patient care: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, including monitoring and recording patient vitals, administering medication as directed by the healthcare team, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare team: The Endoscopy Technician will work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physicians, and anesthesiologists, to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
- Maintain proper documentation: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for accurately documenting patient procedures, medication administration, and any other pertinent information in patient records.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols: It is the responsibility of the Endoscopy Technician to follow all safety and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of infection and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues: In the event of any equipment malfunctions or issues, the Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving the problem or communicating it to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment, including procedure rooms and supply areas.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments: The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for staying current with industry developments and advancements in endoscopy technology, procedures, and techniques.
- Attend trainings and meetings: The Endoscopy Technician will participate in training sessions and attend meetings to stay informed about new procedures, protocols, and updates
Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, With Preference Given To Candidates With Additional Education Or Training In A Healthcare-Related Field. Certification In Endoscopy Technology Is Also Preferred.
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment: Candidates Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Endoscopy Equipment, Including Video Processors, Endoscopes, And Related Accessories. Experience With Troubleshooting And Maintaining Equipment Is Highly Desirable.
Sterilization And Infection Control: Endoscopy Technicians Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Proper Sterilization Techniques And Infection Control Protocols. Knowledge Of Osha And Other Regulatory Requirements Is Also Necessary.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: Working In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment, Endoscopy Technicians Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively As Part Of A Team, While Also Being Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Attention To Detail And Adaptability: Endoscopy Technicians Must Demonstrate A High Level Of Attention To Detail, As Well As The Ability To Adapt To Changing Situations And Priorities. They Must Be Able To Follow Strict Protocols And Procedures, While Also Being Able To Think Critically And Problem-Solve When Unexpected Issues Arise.
