  1. Perform high-quality echocardiography procedures on patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  2. Collect and analyze patient data, including medical history and previous test results, to ensure accurate and thorough diagnostic evaluations.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate test results effectively.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functioning and quality control.
  5. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
  6. Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the testing process.
  7. Document all procedures and results accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
  8. Stay current on advancements and best practices in echocardiography technology and techniques.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes.
  10. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, representing Highmark Health and our values to patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Performing Echocardiograms In A Clinical Setting

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills To Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Effectively.
