Job Description

Highmark Health is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as the Director of Public Relations Center of Expertise & Intelligence. This role requires a motivated and results-oriented individual who is passionate about communications and public relations and can effectively lead a team.The ideal candidate must possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans for initiatives that meet the needs of our organization. They will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to our executive team, developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, and spearheading the development of innovative public relations strategies.The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field. They must also have a proven track record of success leading and executing public relations initiatives and campaigns. Strong writing, editing, and media relations skills are essential. A master’s degree or equivalent in communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.If you have the drive and ambition to lead a team of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and have a passion for public relations, we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute strategic plans for public relations initiatives that meet the needs of the organization.
  2. Provide advice and guidance to the executive team on all public relations matters.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  4. Spearhead the development of innovative public relations strategies.
  5. Lead a team of professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  6. Oversee the day-to-day management of the Public Relations Center of Expertise & Intelligence.
  7. Write, edit, and manage media relations.
  8. Monitor industry trends and developments to ensure that public relations strategies remain current and relevant.
  9. Create reports to track progress of public relations efforts.
  10. Develop and implement tactics to support and strengthen the organization’s brand.
