  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the pharmacy department's operations and drive growth.
  2. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  3. Oversee budget planning and forecasting for the pharmacy department, ensuring financial goals are met.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for improving pharmacy operations and efficiency.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and pharmacy operations staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to pharmacy financial management and make recommendations for implementing new processes and technologies.
  7. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards in the pharmacy department.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as insurance companies and vendors to negotiate favorable financial terms and contracts.
  9. Communicate financial performance and strategies to upper management and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of new pharmacy services and programs, ensuring financial viability and profitability.
  11. Oversee inventory management and procurement processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring cost-effective and timely supply.
  12. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost-saving measures within the pharmacy department and work towards their implementation.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: A Successful Director Of Pharmacy Financial Strategy And Operations At Highmark Health Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Drug Procurement, Inventory Management, And Reimbursement Processes.

  • Experience In Financial Strategy Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record In Developing And Implementing Financial Strategies In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Budgeting, Forecasting, And Cost Containment Initiatives.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Senior Leader In The Organization, The Director Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. This Includes The Ability To Set Clear Goals, Provide Guidance, And Foster A Positive Work Culture.
