
Dental Assistant
Highmark Health is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. This position requires a dedicated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing top-notch patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, while handling both administrative and clinical duties within a busy dental practice. Required Qualifications: •High School Diploma or equivalent •Certification from an accredited Dental Assisting program •Current state certification to practice dental assistance •Knowledge of dental terminology and dental instruments •Ability to work with a variety of patients, including children •Excellent communication skills •Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment •Highly organized and detail-oriented •Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Responsibilities: •Greet and prepare patients for dental treatments •Sterilize and prepare dental instruments •Assist the dentist during treatments •Take digital radiographs and x-rays •Document patient information in the electronic medical record •Schedule patient appointments and follow-up appointments •Provide patient education on dental hygiene and treatment •Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dental office •Keep up to date with continuing education courses and training •Follow all safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines •Provide excellent customer service •Provide support to dental staff and team members
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills
Certification From A Dental Assisting Program
Current Registration With The State Dental Board
Proficiency In Dental Office Software And Equipment
Ability To Follow Detailed Instructions
Ability To Maintain A High Level Of Confidentiality
