
Clinical Educator - Surgical Technology
Highmark Health is seeking an experienced and devoted Clinical Educator - Surgical Technology to join our team. This individual must have a passion for teaching and an ability to effectively transmit knowledge to a variety of learners. The Clinical Educator - Surgical Technology will be responsible for providing educational activities and programs to support the development of the surgical technology staff. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of surgical technology. They must also possess an associate’s degree in surgical technology, a certification as a certified surgical technologist, and a valid license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of clinical education methods and principles. Additionally, the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to a wide variety of audiences is a must. Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver educational activities and programs to support the development of surgical technology staff.
- Maintain and update knowledge in the field of surgical technology.
- Create and deliver effective presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the surgical technology staff.
- Monitor and review performance of the surgical technology staff.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all areas.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in order to ensure the delivery of up-to-date educational activities.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field
At Least Years Of Experience In The Surgical Technology Field
Demonstrated Clinical Knowledge And Experience In Surgical Technology
Previous Teaching Experience In A Classroom Or Clinical Setting
Demonstrated Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Surgical Technology Scope Of Practice
