The Cardiac Monitor Tech Transport will be responsible for transporting patients, monitoring vital signs, and providing direct patient care. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and excellent interpersonal skills.Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED• Current certification as an EKG Technician from a recognized educational institution• Experience in a medical office setting• Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias• Hands-on experience monitoring patients’ vital signs• Ability to work independently and in teams• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to lift and move patients

Responsibilities:

• Transport patients to and from medical appointments • Monitor patients’ vital signs, such as pulse, respiration, and blood pressure • Provide direct patient care, including taking patient histories and administering first-aid • Interpret EKG results • Maintain patient records and document care provided • Assist with preparing patients for diagnostic testing • Follow all safety protocols and regulations • Maintain a clean and safe working environment • Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving treatments when necessary • Maintain knowledge of current cardiac monitoring techniques and technologies • Educate patients and family members on cardiac monitoring and treatment options • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
