Highmark Health is seeking an experienced and qualified Anesthesia Technician to join our team! Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated, professional, and organized individual with a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing excellent service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance during surgical operations and procedures and ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.To be successful in this role, the Anesthesia Technician must have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a current certification from the State Medical Board. The ideal candidate will also have at least one year of experience in a health care setting and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities for this role include:

• Providing technical assistance during surgical operations and procedures. • Ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient. • Maintaining patient charts and records. • Ordering and stocking of anesthesia supplies. • Setting up, operating, and monitoring anesthesia equipment. • Assisting with patient preparation and positioning. • Administering anesthesia medications as directed. • Monitoring the patient's vital signs and responding to changes as necessary. • Responding to emergency situations and providing patient care. • Providing patient education regarding pre- and post-operative care. • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment. • Following safety protocols and procedures. • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
